How To Wire A Plug
When buying a new plug they often come with instructions but these are normally in black and white and can still be slightly confusing.
Wiring a plug is fairly simple and this guide will show you how.

Wiring A Plug
First you will need to unscrew the cover using the centre screw.
The Pin marked: (see Fig 1)

- A is the Earth Pin (Green & Yellow wire)
- B is the Neutral Pin (Blue Wire)
- C is the Live Pin (Brown Wire)
Measure the wires to the right length. See Fig 1.
Remove the cable clamp, this clamp is there to stop damage and possible wire shorting if the cable gets tugged.
Trim 6mm of flex off the ends of the wires.

Unscrew the screw on top of the pin, insert the correct cable into the correct pin and screw down onto the bare wire end, ensuring the wire is secure.
Placing the cable into final position, replace the cable clamp and screw as tight as you can, ensuring you leave a little bit of the outer flex showing beyond the clamp. See Fig 2.
Screw the cover back on.
